Microblading eyebrows is a two-step cosmetic tattoo treatment that is suitable for everyone. Microblading works similarly to normal tattoos except that the application is performed using super fine blades. The skin is cut to allow ink to penetrate into the dermis. The microblades are so fine that when ink is applied they mimic that of natural hair and brows. We are able to create amazing results for those with overplucked, patchy or uneven brows, or for those who want to have the appearance of thicker, lush brows brows.

To ensure long-lasting results the cuts that we do need to be in the dermis and at a very specific depth for your skin. If we cut too deep the blood will prevent the penetration of ink, and if we cut too lightly the resulting ink will only be superficial and won't be permanent. As everyone has different skin and different skin thicknesses this is why the 2nd treatment is needed as it provides consistent and permanent results.

Your 1st Microblading eyebrow treatment will be an extensive appointment that includes a consult and initial Microblading brow application. We will assess your brows, discuss your ideal results and help create the final result for you. Your input and preferences are vital so always speak up and tell us exactly what you want. We are able to perform this treatment on all skin and hair colours, including blonde.

The 2nd Microblading eyebrow treatment is a necessary step to ensure perfect, consistent and long-lasting brows. This treatment is performed 4 weeks after your initial application. We will examine your brows to see how your skin has responded, how the tattoo is healing and to refine and fine-tune strokes and colours.

This man had experienced thinning and patchiness in his brows. The microblading eyebrow treatment has immediately given a fuller and natural result that then matches his hair and beard colour. It was really important for his brows to still maintain a masculine shape without appearing overly groomed or defined. Even with a closeup photo like this it's hard to tell it's just a tattoo.

This patient had light blonde eyebrows with some thinning and lightness in the middle arch of the brow. Using a light ink we were able to match the blonde tones of her existing brow colour and fill in some of these lighter areas to give a more uniform and defined look. As the initial treatment will fade by up to 30% these results will continue to improve and blend with her natural eyebrow colour.

What are the initial results like?

After your first Microblading eyebrow application, your eyebrows will appear inflamed and considerably darker than expected. This will fade during the healing process in the following 4 weeks leading up to your 2nd appointment. We encourage all of our customers who have Microblading treatments to commit to both the 1st and 2nd appointment as this is a 4 week total treatment for the best results.

Is my skin suitable for microblading?

Although Microblading can be performed on any skin colour there are some skin conditions which are not suitable for Microblading. If you currently have acne prone skin or seborrheic dermatitis these would need to be addressed in advance. We can correct these conditions momentarily in preparation for Microblading, but these are separate treatments to Microblading.

How long until I see final results?

We provide two appointments for all clients - one is an initial appointment which includes a consultation and an initial application. The second appointment is a minimum of 4 weeks later to refine and fine-tune the results. This also allows us to inspect the tattoo, skin and pigments to ensure they are healing and responding properly.

Can men get microblading eyebrows?

Yes, and the results we have achieved on our male clients are both natural and phenomenal. Eyebrows tend to thin and lose their bushiness as we age and this can sometimes be more noticeable in men even without a history of plucking or waxing. Men in their 20's often have bushy thick and unruly brows, but by the time men reach 40 the sides and overall density of the eyebrows can be reduced. Microblading for men can help to give the illusion of thicker brows by filling in some of these gaps and restoring big thick bushy brows of their youth.

Why do I need a 2nd treatment?

The application technique of Microblading requires fine cuts within the dermis, which needs to be deep enough to bypass the epidermis (the most outer layer). If we do not cut deep enough into the dermis layer the natural skin process will slough off some of the shallower pigment. Given skin thickness can vary from person to person, the 2nd treatment ensures that the final results are even, consistent, and long-lasting for your skin type.

Do I have to do the 2nd treatment?

Microblading is a 2-step process and the 2nd touch-up treatment is highly recommended (although not compulsory). When you book in for your first treatment we will book you in for your 2nd treatment in 4+ weeks time.

Is microblading permanent?

Yes it is - microblading is a cosmetic tattoo, with the only difference being the way in which the tattoo is achieved. Although the results are permanent they can fade over time. We are happy to provide touch-up treatments in future if you notice any fading, or if you have additional eyebrow hair thinning.

Who will perform my treatment?

We have both male and female microblading artists who have extensive training and experience. Our attention to detail is second to none and each initial appointment takes upwards of 2.5 hours to make sure your eyebrows are perfect!
